Join Trees Atlanta and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum for a special evening presentation in the Carter Museum theater to explore the transformative nature of urban ecology and how Atlanta can benefit by creating its own collaborative, community-based center for urban ecology.
Our speaker is Ken Leinbach, author of Urban Ecology: A Natural Way to Transform Kids, Parks, Cities and the World. Ken is also the Executive Director of the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, WI, and a national leader in promoting community-based environmental education. Using environmental education as a tool for inspiring urban revitalization, the Urban Ecology Center has captured the attention of urban planners and educators across the globe.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Program begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. Space is limited. Advanced registration to reserve your space for this FREE event is strongly suggested.
Q&A session and book signing with the author will follow event.
This is a FREE event to attend. Optionally, Ken Lienbach's book (Urban Ecology Center) may be purchased in advance during registration or on site for $20.
