9:30 AM - NOON
Meeting Location: Trees Atlanta TreeHouse
112 Krog Street, Suite 7, Atlanta, GA 30307
Spring is in the air! Join Trees Atlanta for the perfect activity to do with your family in celebration of Mother's Day. This leisurely bicycle tour, led by Neil Norton, Executive Director of the Georgia Arborists Association, in the Inman Park Neighborhood Arboretum and Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum, will explore some of Atlanta's most diverse ornamental and flowering trees as well as many one of a kind specimen including: Redwoods, Osage Orange, Weeping Katsura, and Sinojackia. The medium to easy ride will consist of many stops along a 3 mile route to talk about cool trees.
This event is perfect for anyone comfortable on a bike (no need to be a super athelete). Helmets are required. Tour will depart by 9:30 am and end just in time to eat at one of your favorite lunch spots in Inman Park or Krog Street Market.
Need a bike? The closest Relay bike share station is Irwin & Eastside BeltLine (684-698 Irwin Street NE, Atlanta)
Stephen Spring, and our friends from the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, will lead an optional pre-ride (9:00am) before this event to help participants build confidence in riding in traffic. Email treehouse@treesatlanta.org if you'd like to sign up for this option.
Special thanks to the City of Atlanta for help supporting the Trees Atlanta tree tours!
