Pollinators are powerful members of a healthy ecosystem. This presentation by Dr. Elizabeth Benton investigates pollinators in urban habitats: their role, importance, and needs. Learn which trees make beneficial additions to urban forests, and how to find a healthy balance of insecticide use to minimize impacts on pollinators.
Presenter: Dr. Elizabeth Benton
Forest Health Specialist, Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, Athens, GA. Specializing in forest and aquatic entomology, insecticide use in trees, and environmental risk of insecticides, Elizabeth works with stakeholders across the state to improve forest health and habitat quality. Her research focuses on insecticide use and impacts in forests.
