Lunch and Learn:

Does Atlanta Benefit from a Diverse Urban Forest?

Guest Speaker: Meredith Jedlicka

Trees Atlanta Arboretum Collections Intern

February 8th, 2018

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Trees Atlanta TreeHouse

112 Krog St. Suite 7, Atlanta, GA

With the development of the Atlanta BeltLine, we have seen the creation of a green corridor that connects our communities, increased opportunity for local businesses and artists, as well the development of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum. But do these benefits make a difference? Are they worth the effort? Are people even aware?

In this Lunch & Learn we will explore how our community benefits from a diverse urban forest. Using the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum as a case study, we’ll explore the variety of plants found along the Eastside Trail, and discuss the possible benefits to local communities and Atlanta as a whole.
