Invasive Plant Identification

& Removal Workshop: English Ivy

March 11th, 2018

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Randolph Estates

2143 Zelda Drive Atlanta, GA 30345

(meeting location map: https://goo.gl/maps/JMpZTzs23Q42)

Note: Participants should all park on one side of Zelda Drive. Overflow parking is available on Louden Drive.

Join Trees Atlanta's Forest Restoration Coordinator, Kevin Mink, for a hands-on educational workshop in the Randolph Estates neighborhood focused on English ivy, one of the Southeast's most damaging invasive plants. Learn about the danger English ivy poses to trees, how to accurately identify and remove it, and encourage native plant regeneration. Wear pants and a long-sleeved shirt, closed-toed shoes or boots (waterproof is best), and clothes that can get dirty. Trees Atlanta will provide all necessary tools and instruction, though participants may prefer to bring their own work gloves.

Participation in this workshop is free. A suggested donation of $10 will support the education and urban forest restoration programs of Trees Atlanta.
