Trees Atlanta - Kendeda Center

Meet us at our Chester Avenue office to get a hands-on lesson in making Compost Tea! During this class, our instructor will discuss the benefits of this soil amendment and go over the steps of making compost tea, then we'll go outside for a hands-on tutorial! After class, you'll have an opportunity to take home materials to make your own tea or 1 gallon jugs of compost tea... as a taste test, if you will.*

Good compost tea is 100% safe and natural, creates healthier plants, and can enhance the flavor of your favorite tree-grown fruits. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics and start practicing how to make your own. This workshop is led by David Brookshire, a Trees Atlanta urban forestry crew member, who will be able to share his experience and point of view on whether there too much of a good thing when it comes to using compost tea. Hint: He’s a big fan.

At the end of class, you’ll have an opportunity to take home samples. You may pre-order materials to make your own tea or take home some compost tea for a small suggested donation. Select optional "add-ons" during online registration.

*Not for human consumption, y'all. Compost tea is food for soil to grow healthier plants!
